It is crucial when starting up a travel agency that you are absolutely sure of the difference between a travel agency and a tour operator. this is a common thing that people are confused with but it is really straight forward. A travel agency sells the holiday but the tour operator organizes them.

It is also important to remember that although there seems to be opportunities in the industry it is an extremely competitive market therefore you have to be prepared for a lot of hard work and also providing an excellent customer service which will distinguish you from the rest of your competitors.
